Ashcroft International Business School (Cambridge)
Here you'll enrol on a BA (Hons) Management and Leadership degree. You'll be based full-time in Barclays from the start, which means you'll be employed and paid a salary from day one. We'll also cover all your university fees for the three years.
You'll learn on the job. But there'll also be intensive periods of study with staff and visiting practitioners and academics from Ashcroft International Business School. In year one, there'll be six weeks' study contact. While in both year two and three there'll be two weeks' study contact. In the workplace you'll also have:
- support from subject tutors
- access to online resources
- guidance from mentors from the Business School and Barclays.
The degree course will help you understand the realities of business and theory while developing leadership and professional skills highly relevant to your career at Barclays. Your study and learning will centre on your specific work experiences and tie in with your development at Barclays. Assessments will also be aligned to your studies and will include individual development reports and plans, presentations, practice-based consultancy reports and work-based research projects.
Over the three years, you'll explore three overall themes:
- organisational issues, functions and behaviour in context over time
- professional and leadership development
- the integration of understanding and theory through experience and reflection.

Your application to the Retail Development Programme at Barclays will not affect any existing UCAS applications (including those for the BA Management and Leadership course offered by Ashcroft International Business School at Anglia Ruskin University). If your application is impressive, you'll be invited to an assessment centre. After that, we'll let you know if you've successfully secured sponsorship.
